The Business Advisory Council of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce will identify the needs of, and will serve as a resource for small businesses and those who serve them in Grand Prairie and Metroplex area. It will help entrepreneurs become well informed, well rounded business owners, and to ensure the success of each business in Grand Prairie Economy. Council is limited to 1 year of service.

Victor’s business background allow him to guide his proposals to business owners, managers and employees to achievetheir objectives and also to keep going in a self-improvement path, for Victor the business productivity relays on respect, value and preservation of dignity. As a SCORE Certified Counselor, he develops his abilities as trainer, consultant and coach on behalf of the business community.

Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas is the local organization mandated to implement a system of services that complement economic development – as a resource for employers to access the quality employees they need, and training individuals to be successfully employed, administers a broad range of programs to address local workforce issues with business-directed objectives, including job training, workplace education, child care and educational initiatives to provide the necessary support for every citizen to be successful at work and is recognized locally and nationally as a best in class workforce system that engages employers and offers the premier solutions for a qualified workforce; provides job seekers comprehensive solutions to employment; convenes a community workforce dialogue critical to economic development; and is recognized as the responsive and effective solution of choice and is considered by many to be a national model for addressing the expanding scope of work-related issues.
LEADERSHIP – Lucy V. Cantu
Lucy V. Cantú is a “Transformational Speaker & Intuitive Life Coach.” While a school volunteer, in 2001, with only a “call in her heart” and no prior business experience, Lucy V. Cantú began a BILINGUAL training and development company to empower parents with knowledge and leadership skills. she was inspired to pursue a “calling” to empower parents. Lucy’s has presented to hundreds of school districts, organizations, and regional, state, and national conferences around the country, including National Title I, National PTA, and TABE. Everything she has created, written or produced has been in both English & Spanish, but the most prominent language that she speaks and teaches is “The Language of the Heart”.

A 2003 journalism graduate of University of Memphis, Moji Oladehin has spent almost two decades in the media industry. Oladehin started her career as a staff reporter for two community newspapers in Bartlett, Tennessee, covering a wide array of news stories and features including business, local government, and crime.In addition to being a stringer for Glamour, her articles have been published in numerous online and print publications such as Zink, Soma, MemphisMagazine, The Daily News, The Memphis Flyer, and Desoto Times Today. She operated a successful public relations and marketing firm in Memphis for six years. Before launching Moji O Media Group in 2016, she taught high school English and journalism; her students amassed more than 40 state and national scholastic awards in the span of five years. Currently, she is a content creator for several area businesses and the Editor and Publisher of Grand Prairie Magazine.
