    We need a minimum of 20 businesspeople to come to a practice networking event where we will have 22 students competing to go to the next round.  We will provide light breakfast and a rubric to allow them to judge student performance in networking.  (We will provide gloves for those who want them for the handshaking.)
     
    We will also be looking for 3 judges in specific pathways for mock interviews with 5 students and assess their interviewing skills.

    About Grand Prairie ISD Career Technical Education (CTE)

    Grand Prairie ISD provides a Career Technical Education Program that has garnered the attention of not only other school districts, many industry associations, and the State of Texas Governor’s Office.

    Career Technical Education (CTE) is simply this:

    We are preparing our students for the workforce, for college, or the military as soon as they graduate High School. In GPISD we have 5 High Schools with CTE options. Grand Prairie ISD provides K-12 students the opportunity to explore or enroll in CTE courses that integrate rigorous and relevant standards to changing industry demands.

    THE VISION: The Grand Prairie CTE program is designed to equip students for the world outside Grand Prairie ISD and is aligned with the workforce needs of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Grand Prairie wants all students to have the opportunity to explore various CTE pathways and/or earn industry-ready certifications allowing them to enter the workforce following their high school graduation. We pride ourselves on preparing students for an ever-changing, ever-growing workforce.
