Leadership Grand Prairie

Leadership Grand Prairie offers an educational experience designed to develop an awareness of Grand Prairie and its relationship to the Metroplex.  At the conclusion of the program, participants will be better prepared for leadership roles within their business and community.

Through the Leadership program, participants learn how to best utilize their leadership skills, while learning about the local community. Meeting and speaking with key community leaders about the inner workings of the city proved to be a valuable experience.

As a result of my Leadership Grand Prairie experience, I have been able to further enhance my business growth and improve my own leadership proficiency.

I strongly recommend this program for anyone who is a leader – or looking to become a leader. The skills, contacts and experiences gained from this program are invaluable.

Leadership Grand Prairie is entering its 37th year in 2025, with over 675 alumni to date. This nine-month course is open to the community and surrounding businesses. While students have a variety of reasons for exploring the course, you will undeniably become better connected with our community, understand the workings and gain useful leadership skills from the first class.

The Leadership classes are held each month from August 2025 – May 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and starting with a Program Opening Retreat on September 4, 2025.  Program topics include: Leadership Principles, Municipal Government, Public Safety, Education, History and Tourism, Health Care, Business and Economic Development and more. Leadership Class participants will learn about these topics as they relate to the community and the surrounding DFW Metroplex.

Leadership Grand Prairie is $800 per student, and we are capped at a total of 25 class participants.  A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for each class, as well as entry fees to venues (if applicable).  Applications and deposit of $400 must be received together to assure reservation, no later than Friday, August 8th. Remainder payment must be submitted by Thursday, September 4, 2025.
